Green LED Solutions and the City of Tamarac Florida Team Up to Reduce Oil Consumption by More than Ten million Barrels per Year

Tamarac, Florida is the first City in South Florida to Save Energy by converting to Green LED Solutions Energy Saving Street Lights.

Tamarac, Florida is saving approximately 60% of its energy costs on 25 of its street lights along West Commercial Blvd., just east and west of Pine Island Road. The Energy Saving LED Street Lights were recently installed by Green LED Solutions, of Davie , Florida. A spokesman for the company indicated that “This is the first of many Pilot Programs that we will be installing throughout South Florida in the next several months”.

Every Street Light that is converted to a Green LED Solutions’ Energy Saving LED Street Light reduces oil consumption by one barrel of oil per month. Green LED Solutions is planning on converting 100,000 Street Lights in Southern and Central Florida over the next 24 months.

The list of municipalities that Green LED is currently working with to convert their street lights includes: Pittsburgh, Pa. Tamarac, Fl. Miami Beach, Fl. Coral Springs, Fl. Pembroke Pines, Fl. Melbourne, Fl. Orange County, Fl. Miami Dade County Parks as well as Florida Power and Light

The company Spokesman went on to say that “ These conversions are being made possible largely as a result of President Obama’s Energy Saving Stimulus Package…and this is just the tip of the iceberg…Green LED Solutions is converting office buildings, shopping centers, County Parks…every day we get phone calls from business owners and city officials that want us to help them save money and energy…we like to think that we can reduce our energy consumption by over ten million barrels of oil over the next five years…after that, who knows?”

It should also be noted that each pole that is converted to a Green LED Solutions Energy Saving Street Light saves or creates one job.
